Madhukar alias Nana Sadolikar was initiated into Indian classical music by his elder brother Wamanrao Sadolikar. Nana Sadolikar later became a gandabandh shagird of Bhurji Khan, the youngest son of Alladiya Khan who set the Jaipur-Atrauli trend of vocal music.
