Anuja belongs to an eminent musical family in Indore, and has been drawn towards Indian Classical Music since a very early age. She is fortunate to be the daughter and disciple of renowned vocalist Kalpana Zokarkar, and carries forward the legacy of respected vocalist Rajab Ali Khan of Dewas, the guru of her grandfather Krishnarao (Mamasaheb) Mujumdar. She started training under her mother since her childhood days and got the opportunity to perform at various live performances and recordings at a very young age. In addition to Classical music, she renders compositions of Thumri, Dadra, Tappa, Hori, Kajri, Jhoola, Ghazal and Bhajan. She has been performing all over the country and has won accolades and appreciation through her performances. She regularly performs in Classical & Light music concerts and shows nation-wide. She is fortunate to have had the opportunity to share stage with some of the most eminent musicians and maestros and has performed in several prestigious concerts.
