Description

Murad Ali, one of the well known sarangi players of the younger generation, in this solo rendition displays the sarangi's ability to closely simulate the human voice in its myriad inflections. His recital includes raags Raageshri and Shankara performed in the khayal style, and raags Mishra Manjh Khamaj and Bhairavi presented in the thumri style.

Rashid Mustafa Thirkawa's tabla accompaniment is in consonance with the sarangi recital.
