Madan Mishra

Madan Mishra hails from a family of musicians from Benaras. His grandfather Bundi Maharaj and grand uncle Kanthe Maharaj were veteran tabla players of Benaras while his father Chanu Maharaj was a sarangi player. Madan Mishra was trained as a tabla player by his grandfather Bundi Maharaj and began performing from a very early age.

He has provided tabla accompaniment to many leading vocalists and instrumentalists. He is currently a staff artiste with All India Radio.
