Gauri Pathare

Gauri Pathare was trained in music initially by her mother Dr. Vidya Damle and later by Gangadharbuwa Pimpalkhare of the Kirana gharana. She also received receive taleem from Jitendra Abhisheki for some time.
Since 1994 Gauri been under the guidance of vocalist Padma Talwalkar. Gauri holds a degree in computer science but music has always been her first love.

Gauri has been the recipient of several awards, which include the Smt. Kesarbai Kerkar scholarship, Surmani Puraskar, Gayanacharya Pt. Ramkrishnabuwa Vaze Yuwa Gayak Puraskar for 2007.

She has performed all over India as well as abroad. Important concerts include Sawai Gandharva Punyatithi music festival in Dec 2003, Smt. Kesarbai Kerkar festival in Goa Kala Academi, and a live broadcast of her concert and interview on a radio channel in Sydney in 2000.

She has several commercial audio releases to her credit.
