Fareed Ayaz al Hussaini & Brothers

hey are a group founded and trained by Munshi Raziuddin, a renowned qawwal who sang for over 65 years. Qawwali has been in the family for nearly eight centuries and the family claims lineage to the first disciple of Hazrat Amir Khusro. The brothers sing Sufi compositions in Arabic, Persian, Hindi and Urdu. They present not only popular and traditional forms, but also classical ones. This Pakistani group has been honoured by their government in recognition of their music.
