Pala P

Pala is a dalit belonging to the caste of Valmikis. He lives in village Maniekpur Sharief in Ropar district. He and his accompanist, Sher Khan, perform regularly on invitations at fairs and religious shrines, and many a kissas from the three main religious traditions of the Punjab, namely Hinduism, Sikhism and Islam are etched in his mind.
